A young Canadian filmmaker, Ms. Gabrielle Demers, visited us on Tuesday January 30th for a “brown bag” lunch talk in Siggasalur. Demers is one of the 3 finalists this year of the Solveig Anspach price, which will be announced on February 1st at a ceremony at Háskólabíó

One of the highlights of Gabrielle’s short film is that the entire team involved was a female-team only. Her film “Paupiére Mauve – Iris” has won a price in a US Festival. We showed her short film before the discussion and the day was a great one for all involved
