The Icelandic Film School commemorates 30 years

Last November 18, people from the film industry, current and former students of the school, came down to Suðurlandsbraut 18 to celebrate this turning point. The President of Iceland honored the school with his presence and gave a motivational speech at this event as well as cutting the first slice of the birthday cake

Then the rector of the Icelandic Film Academy accompanied the President of Iceland around the building. The president, together with an entourage, watched an acting practice as well as visiting, for example, students filming in one of the studios and students in the script department working under the guidance of teachers. After inspecting the halls and classrooms of The Icelandic Film School, the President of Iceland went into the cinema hall and watched some of the school's films and advertisements.
