Graduation Spring 2022 - Ívar Styrmisson, Creative Technology
Ívar will be graduating on June 4th from Creative Technology with his film "Regression"
The film is about Isaac, a young and unknown writer, who visits his father, a famous writer, to bring him a copy of his new novel. But the time spent together and their conversations move Isaac away from his intention, and instead reopen old wounds and unresolved problems
What is your first memory related to films?
My first cinematic experience is probably when I watched "The Lion King" on tape with my brother. I watched that movie endlessly
What fascinates you about film making?
What fascinates me most about filmmaking is that it is visual. I enjoy experiencing history in a graphic way. In addition, there is a lot of work behind this art form that needs a lot of preparation and collaboration that fascinates me
Why did you choose Creative Technology?
I find the technical side of filmmaking interesting and challenging. This is a very large field and a lot to choose from for future jobs

Good. I'm optimistic and excited to go to work
