Sara Líf Sigurjónsdóttir - Acting

Star

The film is about a girl who practices ballroom dancing and has a great passion for getting to the Iceland Championship and winning it. She gets to know a new world and new methods in order to gain more confidence and energy during training for the big tournament.

What is the first movie experience you remember?

My first movie experience that I remember the most was the "Algjör Sveppi" movies, which are of course just the best movies in the world.

What fascinates you about filmmaking?

I wasn't really into filmmaking, but I was so interested in being a character in a movie and getting to do all kinds of cool things like fighting with weapons and using magic and all kinds of superhero stuff.

Why did you choose your department?

Because I love to perform and be all kinds of different people and I've always been a ball of energy full of movement, so it just felt right to take the plunge into acting.

Did anything particularly surprise you during the course?

Hmmm, I have nothing in mind.

And what does the future look like?

The future is bright, I got a job at Myndform as one of the main roles dubbing children's shows and I hope to continue that in the future. I also hope to work as an actor in foreign roles and to travel a lot.
