Graduation winter 2021 - Thorsteinn Sturla Gunnarsson, Screenwriting and Directing
On December 18th Thorsteinn Sturla Gunnarsson will be graduating from Screenwriting and Directing with is film "Emptiness"
A young woman has a hard time accepting her fiances death. She walks through life like a ghost and has isolated her self from everyone. Then one night she begins to suspect she is not as alone as she thought.
On this occasion, we got to ask Thorsteinn a few questions
What is the first cinematic experience you remember?
The first movie experience I remember was when my older sister showed me 'Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' when I was three years old. That movie sparked my film interest and is still my favorite movie today.
What fascinates you about film making?
To create something that evokes emotions in the audience.
Why did you choose your department?
Being an author has always fascinated me the most, so Screenwriting and Directing was an obvious choice.
And how does the future look?
The future will hopefully include postgraduate studies abroad if all goes well.
