What is the first movie experience you remember?
My first movie experience was when my grandmother took me to the first Harry Potter movie at the cinema. It was great as I am a huge Harry Potter fan and it is especially nice to have a fun first movie experience with your grandma. I grew up in the countryside where the nearest cinema was far away, so I always appreciated that my grandmother was willing to invite me to the cinema when I came to stay.
What fascinates you about filmmaking?
What fascinates me the most about filmmaking is the editing, in the editing room it is very satisfying to put the film together bit by bit like a puzzle. This post-processing is accompanied by a peacefulness and a pleasant calmness that fascinates me so much during the editing process. It makes me very happy to look at a well-composed picture and to be proud of a job well done.

Why did you choose your department?
I chose the technical department because I had done a lot of editing before I started The Film School, and I was also a keen photographer. My field of interest lies in post-production and especially editing. My creativity can also be enjoyed in Creative Technology.
Did anything particularly surprise you in the study?
What surprised me the most was that the study was much more difficult than I expected. Working on set was very challenging, but it also made me appreciate even more the work that goes into filmmaking, creating all kinds of diverse and fun images and working in post-production. These projects came with a lot of difficulties, but I have learned to persevere and do my best in all the projects I have worked on.

And what does the future look like?
I aim to find a job in editing or post-production at a television station, production company or film production. In addition, there is a whole sea of possibilities for all kinds of independent projects from all over the world.
