Graduation winter 2021 - Dadi Larusson, Acting

Dadi Larusson will graduate from Acting on December 18th with his film "Graffiti".

The film is about an 18 year old bully that then forms a connection and friendship with the boy him and his friends have been bullying. He needs to make a decision between following the current or to take down the mask and be himself.

On this occasion, we got to ask Dadi a few questions

What is the first cinematic experience you remember?

I think the first film I saw was either "Shrek" or "The brave little toaster" when I was a kid and was able to watch a tape at my grandparents place, excellent films, 10/10 would recommend.

What fascinates you about film making?

There are just so many things, you can jot down an idea on a piece of paper and it can become a reality, or grab the camera to film and you are a cameraman. It is all so interesting, but mainly you are with people who share your interests and that just makes it even better.

Why did you choose your department?

Since I can remember I have always been acting in some way, always when dad recorded me on the video camera, I wanted to see myself as this was so enthralling. Then when the years rolled on I started snatching the camera and making some Star Wars videos and westerns. I would not say that these were 10/10 films today, but it was worth the try.

Anything that surprised you?

Yes, how much fun these studies are and how much I learnt from everyone. I thought it would just be "easy peasy" but then there was so much that I had no idea about. I will admit that when I went to the first introduction I thought, "No, this is not for me", but here I am today graduating! Shit happens.

And how does the future look?

I am trying to make money on Crypto with varying success, but I will be forceful in seeking employment in the business and further myself. Perhaps create my own project, who knows?

I also just want to thank all the teachers for teaching me and all the department heads. All the people I have gotten to know through these two years, you are amazing and I look forward to working with you in the future.

Peace and love, Dadi out.
