Bergur lives in a world that has been traumatized by a health crisis
The government’s hierarchy has put it into law that everyone must stay fit and healthy by any means. The government rewards those who abide by the law and stay fit and healthy. Bergur has his mind set on being rewarded by the government’s hierarchy. Meanwhile Bergur and his brother Finnur are constantly competing against each other, racing to get the government’s reward first
What is your first memory related to films?
The first experience I remember was when I was little watching the Star Wars movies. Then mainly "Empire Strikes Back" (1980). I do not remember exactly how old I was, but not much older than 5-6 years
What fascinates you about film making?
What fascinates me about filmmaking is that you can look into other worlds. Especially from the point of view of acting. Interpreting a character in a movie opens my mind, it makes me think about how certain people would react in a certain situation
Why did you choose Acting?
I chose acting foremost because my dream of becoming an actor has been around for a long time in my life, both consciously and unconsciously. I finally decided to take the plunge and apply for acting studies at The Film School, and I do not regret it!
Anything that surprised you?
What surprised me in my studies was that I did not suspect that there were so many ways to get into character, I did not know that there were so many ways to interpret a character
And what does the future look like?
The goal is to make myself known right away by making myself well heard. Attend auditions, write and produce my own films. I also want to try my hand at film directing
