Good news on the current COVID-19 situation in Iceland

As things are going well in terms of vaccines and other types of infection control in Iceland, we here at The Icelandic Film School head into this fall semester fully confident that we can offer all our students full in class teaching

So far, Iceland has been a relatively safe place with only a few, rather small, waves compared to neighbouring countries, this past year. Icelanders have mostly enjoyed a free environment at workplaces and schools and have been fortunate enough to have had the chance to go to their local swimming pools, cafés and even occasional theatre events.

A great progress in vaccinating the people of Iceland

There has been great progress made these last few days in vaccinating the populace. With almost daily record breaking numbers of people getting their first dose of vaccination, things are looking good for the summer months in Iceland. When this text is written, almost half of the population in Iceland has already received at least one dose of vaccination. The government has announced that Icelanders will be fully vaccinated this summer. The Health Ministry and Government have started the first steps towards easing of restrictions.
