Strangers in the night

What is the first movie experience you remember?
The first movie that truly left a mark on me was The Lord of the Rings, which I watched in the cinema when I was about 10 years old. It was pure magic; an incredibly immersive experience that transported me to another world and sparked my love for storytelling.

What fascinates you about filmmaking?
Filmmaking is the ultimate creative journey. What fascinates me the most is the artistic process of transforming an idea into a visually compelling story, from conception and development to direction and presentation. It’s my way of expressing life experiences, emotions, and curiosities through my own visual language.
Beyond that, the filming process itself is thrilling. It constantly pushes my personal limits, challenges me to grow, and fuels my passion. It motivates me every time to grow both as a director and as an individual. Filmmaking gives meaning to my life; it is my greatest passion.
Why did you choose Directing and Producing?
My ultimate goal is to direct films, and this department is the perfect place to develop my directing and producing skills. It’s where I can experiment, learn, and gain the knowledge and experience needed to bring my vision to life.
Did anything particularly surprise you during your studies?
The biggest surprise was how much I grew, not just in terms of filmmaking, but also personally. The hands-on experience has been invaluable, but even more rewarding was meeting incredible people who share the same passion and creative drive. Many of them have become not just collaborators but good friends; some even feel like family.
And what does the future look like?
The future looks exciting. My plan is to gain more practical experience in the film industry, continue honing my craft, and ultimately write and direct my own films.
