Birta Teresa - Acting

Birta Teresa will be graduating from Acting with her film "The seventh time"

The seventh time

Lilja, a young single mother, does everything to ensure a better life for her daughter, Ylfa, and seeks refuge with her father. However, constant nagging from her daughter's father makes it difficult for her to stay focused and see things clearly, until she is faced with a fateful decision.

What is the first film experience you remember that had an impact on you?

When my stepdad came into my life around the age of ten, he introduced me to older movies that had a huge impact on me. My attitude towards movies changed completely and I began to appreciate them in a new way. Two of the first films he showed me were "Edward Scissorhands" and "Gremlins".

What fascinates you about filmmaking?

Filmmaking fascinates me because it combines creativity, storytelling and technology to create emotional connections and unforgettable moments. I love to delve into different worlds, convey emotions and tell stories that have an impact. For me, filmmaking is not just an art, but a way to communicate feelings, experiences and messages that have a place in the world.

Why did you choose Acting?

My passion lies in creativity. Through acting I get the opportunity to tell stories, express emotions and explore different sides of myself. It helps me deepen my understanding of myself and get to know myself in a new way. Acting is also a way to connect with others – to form strong bonds and share experiences. It inspires me to be able to influence people, touch their hearts and create shared memories through acting. This process is not only personal, but it brings people together in a unique way.

Did anything particularly surprise you during your studies?

What surprised me most about the program was how much it required both emotional depth and introspection. I learned to open up in a new way, delve deeper into emotions and connect with the characters I portray. The process was both creative and challenging, but it has taught me to work in harmony with others and to trust my own intuition.

And what does the future look like?

The future is bright, exciting and full of opportunities! I will use what I have learned to continue to grow as an actress and in filmmaking, and I hope to be able to combine creative projects by working with others who share the same passion. The goal is to continue to learn, grow, and use the experience to tell impactful stories.
