In the deep wake of death

The film takes place on a small farm in Hornafjörður and is about a young woman who is forced to fight against injustice after a severe trauma that transforms her life.

What is the first movie experience you remember?

I remember "The Lion King" well. My siblings and I had the tape and probably watched it five times a day if I remember correctly. Then we went out to play the lions.

What fascinates you about filmmaking?

Everything! Creating a story and telling it through sets, costumes, characters and all that goes into filmmaking is wonderful. This is also an art that most people can enjoy.

Why did you choose your department?

I've always been a bit of an actress since childhood. After I got a taste of acting, there was no turning back. Getting to experience the thoughts and feelings of another character is such an amazing experience and I can't imagine working in any field other than acting.

Did anything particularly surprise you in your studies?

I was surprised at how quickly the comfort zone was broken down. There is no delay in this study.

And what does the future look like?

It looks pretty cool, I'm looking forward to putting my ideas to work. I take with me a large toolbox from this program and intend to use it to the fullest.
