Aðalgeir will be graduating from Creative Technology with his film "Alone time"
Alone time
Pia lives alone and lives her best life, but she doesn't know about the visitor who is hiding.
What is the first film experience you remember that had an impact on you?
I don't remember a single movie that had a big impact on me when I was younger, but I do remember how I felt when I walked out of the cinema after watching"1917". Totally speechless at how they went about it and was emotionally drained.
What fascinates you about filmmaking?
The collaboration with amazing people, after this I will always remember moments on sets where you laughed until you cried.
Why did you choose Creative Technology?
I always enjoyed watching my brother edit a video, to see everything click together and create a whole. I really wanted to start tinkering like him and he showed me how. After that I created a YouTube channel and started posting gaming and music videos there which did well. I did that for approx. 8 years before I started my studies.
Did anything particularly surprise you during your studies?
How important it is to ask. You are often afraid to ask a question, so you don't look like you don't know anything. But being in this business is all about asking and listening, and I've learned the most when I asked.
And what does the future look like?
There's nothing booked right now, but I'm not afraid that something fun won't happen. I am excited about the future.
